Mission and Goals
Concierge-Worldwide was created
as a vehicle capable of generating millions of dollars to help
eliminate the international HIV/AIDS crisis that threatens the
very survival of humanity. 50% of all Concierge Worldwide
annual profits will be donated to this vital cause.
AIDS is on the verge of wiping
out enormous populations across the globe. No one anywhere is
safe today from the possibility of contracting the HIV virus and
AIDS. Scientists and health organizations need far more
financial assistance to slow down the rapid growth of this
life-threatening disease and to further the research seeking a
cure. The Secretary General of the United Nations estimates $10
billion a year needs to be raised to combat this worldwide
crisis.
Concierge-Worldwide pledges to
provide exceptional travel services and to donate half of all
profits to eradicating AIDS. Travel and tourism are America's
largest domestic retail industry and its largest export service
industry. Worldwide, billions of dollars are spent on tourism
annually. By using Concierge-Worldwide to make travel
arrangements, every plane ticket, rental car, vacation house,
and hotel room you book will contribute to finding a cure for
AIDS. Every yacht or jet you charter through us and every party
we organize for you will help contain, control, and conquer this
deadly virus.
Busy travelers are some of the
hardest working people on the globe, and most don't have time to
extend themselves any further. Concierge-Worldwide saves
travelers time and gives them the opportunity to make a real
difference without changing their life style.
Broad participation in the
program will provide essential funds, draw attention to the
virus's far-reaching menace, and make a significant contribution
to eradicating this frightening pandemic. Concierge-Worldwide
will also increase the national and international education
efforts that draw attention to the monumental problem. Updates
will be sent to Concierge-Worldwide members and to political
bodies like the President's AIDS Advisory Council.
Concierge-Worldwide will encourage that more media attention be
directed to AIDS, including a regularly scheduled television or
radio news program involving world leaders and celebrities
reporting on the current state of AIDS and progress being made.
Concierge-Worldwide believe that
a greater focus on prevention and education will increase the
amount of money raised to address the crisis and make a real
difference. Please, we encourage you to participate and help
Concierge-Worldwide bring the world's focus back on AIDS, which
will result in raising the money needed to solve the problem.

State of AIDS Around the
World
Worldwide, five million people
were newly infected with the HIV/AIDS virus in 2002 -- that's
more than 14,000 daily, and half of them are women and children.
AIDS is not just a concern for the gay community. Every one of
our sons and daughters are at great risk, which puts a
responsibility on all of us to do what we can to help those
seeking a cure.
The human immunodeficiency
virus, or HIV, causes an acquired immune deficiency syndrome we
call AIDS. This often fatal disorder is introduced when the
virus is transmitted through the blood or other body fluids and
results in a severe loss of resistance to infection. Medical
drugs help control the disease, but even people with advanced
health care and access to these drugs develop immunities to them
after a time and continue to rely on new developments in
prescription medicine. In underdeveloped countries, few people
have the advantage of any drugs, and once AIDS takes hold, a
person is severely susceptible to any life-threatening illness:
pneumonia, leukemia, cancer.…
Twenty-five million people have
already died from AIDS, and the crisis has only begun. In some
areas of Africa one-third of the population is infected with HIV
and has no access to modern drugs. Most of these people will die
within five years, leaving their children to struggle on alone.
To date, 10 million children have been orphaned by AIDS --
that's a population the size of Greece or Portugal. But the
worst is still coming. It is estimated that there will be 40
million AIDS orphans by the end of this decade when the
epicenter of the disease will move from Africa to Asia, where it
will explode and defeat the "it can't happen to us" attitude of
the world's largest populations.
Secretary of State Colin Powell
calls AIDS "A catastrophe worse than terrorism." President Bush
has pledged to commit $15 billion over the next five years, but
far more money is needed to wipe out humanity's worst health
problem.
Concierge-Worldwide is a vehicle
through which any individual and business can make a valuable
contribution by just making their normal personal and business
travel arrangements. Concierge-Worldwide is currently
researching which AIDS foundation will receive these donations.
We're looking at AmFAR, the United Nations Foundation for AIDS,
the International AIDS Trust, and others.
